• Food stamps cannot be used to buy soap, shampoo, or other basic household supplies necessary for good hygiene and healthy children.
• Children often do not have the basic personal care items that they need.

Ways YOU Can Help!

LEARN about the hygiene needs of children in your community by inviting a teacher, social worker, food pantry employee, or homeless shelter volunteer to talk with a group of your family, friends, and co-workers.

GATHER your family, friends, and co-workers to participate in a Dial Into Giving
Halloween Party! Have each person come in costume and bring soap, shampoo, other basic toiletries. Hosting the party before going trick-or-treating is a great way to get kids involved!

GIVE the community representative the supplies and gift cards to help children
in your community enjoy cleaner and healthier lives. Send your stories and photos to champion@championsforkids.org so that we can celebrate your participation and your creative costumes!
